Backpacking (Intro), Bighorn Mountains, WY.

23 - 26 May, 2025 (Memorial Day Weekend)

This is a great introduction to backpacking.  We will be exploring the remote reaches of Paint Rock Canyon in the Bighorn Mountains for 4 days and 3 nights. Plan on approximately three to five miles distance and less than 1000 feet of elevation per day, with two different beautiful camps and opportunities to hunt for antler sheds and fishing. Designed to be an easy entry to backpacking: a chance to become familiar with the equipment, supplies, routines, and overall experience without the long distances and climbs. $50 requested contribution ($25 for Bighorn Basin residents) for this four day trip. Starting and ending in Worland, WY.
